Warsaw Ousts Northrop, Dwenger, New Haven, Leo, East Noble, and Norwell Advance

UNDATED (21 Alive) - Warsaw, Dwenger, New Haven, Leo, East Noble, and Norwell were all impressive first round high school football sectional winners on Friday night.

Tristan McClone scored all four of his touchdowns in the first half and ran for 121 yards to lead Warsaw's 40-20 win at Northrop.

Warsaw led 33-0 at the half.

Trevon Wilson and John McKinney ran for second half touchdowns for Northrop.

Mike Fiacable threw for one touchdown and ran for another to pace Bishop Dwenger's 28-3 win at Northridge in 4A.

Ryan Cinadr and Tyler Tippman ran for the other Saints touchdowns.

Dwenger will host Angola next week.

Leo pinned a 35-7 loss on homestanding Wawasee, with Logan Leiter going for 249 yards on the ground with three touchdowns.

The Lions, as is their custom, threw just three passes in the game as they advanced to host East Noble in 4A in the sectional semifinal.

The Knights won their way into that game by trouncing NorthWood 55-21 led by the 269 rushing yards and five touchdowns from Brandon Mable.

Ariest Vasquez rolled up 276 rushing yards with four touchdowns to propel New Haven over South Side 47-14, giving the Bulldogs a 4A second round home game against Frankfort.

Norwell won its fifth straight game after an 0-5 start by topping Columbia City in 4A 45-28 with Piercen Harnish again leading the parade with 176 yards rushing and two touchdowns along with a touchdown pass.

The Knights will play at Jay County next week.
