FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – Sweetwater has been gearing up for the 10th annual GearFest this Friday and Saturday.

There will be more than 200 vendors and manufacturers, along with workshops, performances, and more than $55,000 worth of giveaways.

This year’s festival features more guitar manufacturers and they'll string your guitar for free!

Christopher Guerin, Sweetwater’s Corporate Communications Vice President, says GearFest is unique to the Midwest because it's the only “free” music gear and instrument trade show in the country.

“It's amazing,” says Guerin, “We literally have people who come here from around the world. Most of it is from the Tri-State region of course. As you can imagine people who can drive for a few hours, but we have people who come from both coasts and actually people who fly in from Europe and Japan just to come to this event."

Guerin says registration is up 25 percent from last year.

Organizers anticipate anywhere from 7,000 to 8,000 people to attend.
