FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – It is National Dance Day, an annual celebration that takes place all over the country on the last Saturday in July.

Fort Wayne residents took part in the city's own celebration at Jefferson Point Saturday afternoon. Participants were asked to learn dances individually online, then come together to dance as one.

“Everybody should dance! It's a great way to exercise, it raises those blood pressures, great weight loss. Everyone is going to walk out of here sweaty and feeling great,” said Vicki Gallagher, Instructor at Fort Wayne Dance Collective.

The campaign began three years ago and encourages Americans to embrace dance as a fun and positive way to maintain good health.
