FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) – Edy's Ice Cream in Fort Wayne will be investing $18 million into the city’s plant.

Edy’s officials say no new jobs will be added, but there’s a possibility in the future.

The $18 million investment will be spent on manufacturing, new technology and warehouse equipment.

Edy's is currently seeking a tax abatement that will save them $1.4 million. The tax abatement was filed July 30, but Fort Wayne City Council has yet to vote on the matter.
