FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Ivy Tech Community College is calling 30-area middle school students for their adventure and imagination summer camp.

In just one week students will explore the world of math and science through workshops and experiments.

The camp runs through Friday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

Teachers feel it's important to show kids that math and science can be fun.

Co-chair of STEM Abdalla Hazaimeh says, “The kids are at that age, if they don't get into it with the right teacher, they might be diverted away from these fields.”

The cost of the camp is $299 for the week, which includes materials, t-shirts, food and field trips.
