FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Fort Wayne Police need your help looking for a suspect accused of targeting vulnerable people.

Police say he is in his late twenties or early thirties and believe he’s connected to a string of armed robberies.

Monday night a person outside of the Woodbridge Apartments was allegedly robbed at gunpoint.

Police say the suspect struck the victim multiple times over the head with a gun.

FWPD Officer Raquel Foster says, “He's waiting for his victims. Whether they're coming home or leaving, their in the parking lot of these apartment complexes. Once he's identified his victim, he's approached them and displayed the hand gun. He then takes off with the wallet, handbag, personal items and cash.”

Police say he typically targets women entering or exiting vehicles between the hours of 7- 9 pm and hides behind a dumpster or the bushes for maximum surprise.
