INDIANA/ WASHINGTON DC (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Thousands are flocking to the nation's capitol where a rally is being planned for this weekend.
Conservative talk show host Glenn Beck is hosting a the 8/28 "Restoring Honor Rally," on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.
Friday morning, a tour bus left Fort Wayne in route to the rally And on that bus, is Andrew Montgomery of Wells County, who spoke with us live at 5 pm on why he decide to go to the 8/28 event.
Also happening in Washington DC, Civil rights leader Al Sharpton held a press conference on the steps of Washington DC's City Hall building to express his unhappiness with Glenn Beck’s plan to hold his "Restoring America" rally on the same day and at the same location, where Dr. Martin Luther King gave his "I have a dream speech" in 1963.
Sharpton says, “They have the right to rally but what they don't have the right to do is distort what Dr. King’s dream was about."
Sharpton along with other civil rights leaders plan to hold a counter rally and march of their own.
