FORT WAYNE, Ind. (NBC33) - A state-of-the-art orthodontic technique has been introduced to Fort Wayne. Dr. Timothy Bussick is the first orthodontist to use AcceleDent to compliment the use of traditional braces and Invisiline. The hands - free device reduces the time a patient wears braces which is ordinarily from 20 to 26 months by up to 50 percent.

FDA approved, AcceleDent sends out vibrations called pulsatile forces through the teeth and through the alveolar bone which helps teeth move faster toward the desirable goal of straightening teeth. The patient uses the device just 20 minutes per day and it also reduces the level of discomfort associated with wearing traditional braces.
