Padres Check Local Baseball Talent At Tryout Camp

FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - About 100 local baseball players of high school age on up, turned out to try to impress San Diego Padres scouts at Parkview Field Friday.

It wa the annual Padres tryout camp, and two San Diego scouts checked out position players on their hitting and defense, and pitchers on their mound ability.

Scout Greg Stewart says it is a great way to get information on players they might have missed in their scouting travels
