WABASH, IN (Indiana's NewsCenter) --- Monday morning, the defense gets its turn in the Wabash murder trial of Scott Pattison, who stands accused of murdering his wife.
Prosecutors rested their case earlier today after testimony from Pattison's sister. The trial is gone n ine days.
A highlight in the case so far has been the testimony of Stacey Henderson, who is the woman Scott Pattison was having an affair with at the time Pattison's wife Lisa died of asphyxiation under a weighted exercise bar.
Prosecutors used an exhaustive list of text messages exchanged between Henderson and Scott Pattison to try to bolster their case that Pattison killed his wife, but none of those messages showed clear evidence that Pattison killed her.
Henderson stated Pattison never told her he was responsible for the death, and that she never told him the two could be together if Lisa Pattison was 'out of the way.'
