DeKalb Moves On Despite Byers' Big Night

(Waterloo) - DeKalb withstood a big comeback by Wayne and Ray Byers Friday night to win their 4A Sectional 11 semifinal with the G
Generals 31-24.

Byers had touchdown runs of 45 and 54 yards as Wayne pulled within a touchdown after trailing big.

He finished with 239 yards,

Brandon Thews ran for 129 yards and a score for the Barons.
