INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Bishop Luers scored three touchdowns in
just over four minutes Friday night for a 21-6 victory over Heritage Christian
for the Class 2A football championship.
Luers got a 71-yard touchdown pass from Quinn Schafer to Adrien
Spencer late in the third quarter, and a 2-yard TD run by Isaac
Baker and 28-yard interception return by Lawrence Barnett for the
clinching scores early in the final period.
Heritage Christian (13-2 scored with 3:22 left on a 13-yard pass
from Garrett Meador to Tom Eggleston.
It's the seventh state title for the Knights (11-4).
