Meeting Huey Lewis

I remember going to Roanoke,VA to see Huey Lewis and The News with my friends.I had made it to the front row. It was 1984, they called it the Sports Tour 84. A new guitarist had opened up for them. It was the late Stevie Ray Vaughan. He would even play the guitar behind his back. When Huey Lewis was to come on,they opened the concert with the American Flag in the middle of the stage, Huey started singing our National Anthem. The concert was excellent. That next morning my ears were ringing, I had brusies on my chest from all the girls pushing up to the front. I was against the metal wall in front of the stage.
Huey had been in the movie "Back To The Future" and in the hit song to help hunger in Africa with the song,"We Are The World" since then.
My girlfriend & Fort Wayne model Jeannine Griffith, and I went to the 4 H Fair in Goshen,IN this year to see them, and I took my old tour shirt. We both got to meet Huey Lewis and had this photo taken with my shirt from back in the day. I got to shake his hand and reminded him about Stevie Ray Vaughan opening up and he said,"That's right!"
I wish to thank Rene Troyer Campbell of the 4-H Fair for everything she had done to make the Fair great for everyone.
The heart of rock and roll is still beating, and Huey Lewis and The News, has Heart and Soul still.

every post always says the same thing. "Fort Wayne model" and myself met the pope. "Fort Wayne model" and myself met Kenny Rogers. I have never heard of this "so-called" model
