I am contacting you on behalf of Fort Wayne Housing Authority's Executive Director. We would like to promote our Family Self Sufficiency program to Fort Wayne. This program is for Section 8 participants and Public Housing residents. It is a voluntary program that uses case management to help assist the participants in acheiving their goals to move toward self-sufficiency. We help them with finding jobs, going back to school, and even buying their own home. We have had many successful graduates of our program and we would like to recognize them and their acheivments. Many of them were very heavily reliant on welfare when they began our program and after graduating from FSS have become reliant on themselves. This is a great program, but not well known. We would love if you would do a story on our program so we can help as many people as possible.
