Wear Splash of Red on Wear Red Day

The American Heart Association is encouraging both men and women to spice up their attire with a splash of red Feb. 4 in honor of National Wear Red Day.

National Wear Red Day is a national observance created by the American Heart Association, drawing attention to heart disease, the No. 1 killer of men and women, and the strides being taken through research and education to raise awareness of risk factors and decrease death rates. The American Heart Association urges everyone to support the fight against heart disease.

In February, which is American Heart Month, companies are encouraging employees to wear red to work, illuminating their buildings in red lights, and offering life-saving information to employees.

There is no better time than American Heart Month to call attention to the fact that heart disease is still the Number 1 killer of women. Show your support for the fight against heart disease in women by wearing red on National Wear Red Day – Friday, Feb. 4. It’s an easy, powerful way to speak up and show support for Go Red For Women, the American Heart Association’s solution to saving women’s lives.
