Roanoke resident Norma Carroll now has four grandchildren with state high school bowling championships. With junior Tyler Carroll from Huntington North High earning the 2011 championship, he joins brother Ryan Carroll and cousins Ashley (Bruemleve) Black and Lindsey (Bruemleve) Banter. Black and Banter each have team titles, with consecutive team titles in 2001 and 2002, with Banter the State individual champion in 2003.
Ryan Carroll earned his State title in 2006,with the team shooting a perfect "baker" 300 game during the finals. Norma has been going to matches since 2001 and has one more year to watch Tyler and hopefully a couple of great grandchildren will join in the family tradition.
