This is a snow sculpture of Dory, the regal tang fish from Finding Nemo. With the temperatures on the rise and rain in the forecast, I decided that with this last snow, if I was going to make a snow sculpture I'd better do it today (Sunday 2-27-11). I hadn't got to do any other sculptures this winter and the snow was melting but packing good. I went to the north side of our house where the sun doesn't hit that area until evening and started my little piece of art. I just love the quirky Dory character; I knew I wanted to get her done and if I had the time I wanted to do Nemo also. The temps were climbing. I barely got Dory painted and the sun started to set; so sculpting a Nemo likeness on this day was going to be out of the question. The possibility of any more snow sculpting is slim but who knows? It's Indiana and the weather is subject to change! If we do possibly get more snow with enough to play in again, you can bet that I'll be constructing Nemo and pictures will be posted.
