MY DAUGHTER BROOKLYN

TIS THE SEASON...TO HELP OTHERS

3 WEEKS AGO, MY BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER, BROOKLYN, WAS BORN WITH NO COMPLICATIONS. HOWEVER, ON THURSDAY NOV 29, I WAS SHOPPING AT WALMART AND STARTED HEMORRAGING IN THE LADIES ROOM. EVERYONE IN THE BATHROOM WAS CONCERNED, UNSURE OF WHAT TO DO BUT OFFERING WHAT HELP THEY COULD. I WAS LOCKED IN ONE OF THE STALLS, UNSURE OF WHAT WAS ABOUT TO HAPPEN. I FELT LIKE I WAS GOING TO PASS OUT AND I WAS SCARED. IT WAS JUST ME AND MY NEW BABY. IT WAS A BLESSING THAT A NURSE HAPPENED TO COME IN THE BATHROOM AND OFFERED HER HELP. I WAS ABLE TO LET HER IN THE STALL, WHERE SHE CHECKED MY PULSE AND TALKED TO ME TO DETERMINE MY LEVEL OF ALERTNESS SINCE I HAD LOST SO MUCH BLOOD. NO B/P CUFF WAS AVAILABLE. SHE OFFERED SEVERAL TIMES TO TAKE ME TO THE HOSPITAL HERSELF. THEN SHE CALLED MY DR FOR ME AND GAVE THEM HER ASSESSMENT OF ME. THEY WANTED ME TO CALL EMS BUT I REFUSED DUE TO THE COST. I CALLED MY HUSBAND AT WORK INSTEAD AND HE CAME RIGHT AWAY. SHE SAT WITH ME IN THE BATHROOM FOR 30-45 MINUTES. SHE INSISTED ON STAYING WITH ME THE ENTIRE TIME! SHE HELPED WITH MY DAUGHTER AND HELPED ME GET TO THE CAR BEFORE FINALLY GOING BACK TO HER SHOPPING. HER NAME IS LUANN AND SHE IS A NURSE FOR FOCUS ON HEALTH. IF SHE WERENT THERE, I DONT KNOW WHAT WOULDVE HAPPENED. I JUST FEEL THIS IS A POSITIVE STORY TO SHARE WITH SO MANY NEGATIVE THINGS IN THE NEWS, THAT THIS WOMAN TOOK OUT SO MUCH TIME TO TAKE CARE OF ME. I WOULD LOVE FOR HER TO BE RECOGNIZED FOR HER GENUINE CONCERN AND AGAIN TELL HER HOW MUCH I APPRECIATE HER HELP.
