AHA to host first Volunteer Night

The American Heart Association is inviting the public to attend its first Volunteer Night from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wed., May 25, at the Allen County Public Library, 900 Library Plaza, in Fort Wayne. Attendees will learn how they can help the American Heart Association make an even bigger impact in their community.

Staff from the association will provide information about its many programs and events including local and state advocacy efforts, Go Red For Women and the Go Red For Women Luncheon, the Heart Walk, Power To End Stroke, Jump Rope and Hoops for Hearts, the Heart Ball and more. The American Heart Association hopes the event will attract new volunteers from Northeast Indiana who can help it reach its mission to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

Light hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be served at the event. To attend, guests are asked to RSVP to Michelle Wagner at 317-732-4720 or michelle.wagner@heart.org by May 23.
