After a Semi-Pro win at Angola in Angola which garauntees her a spot in the Legends car Nationals in Las Vegas, Andrea Hans had a rough start in the Illiana Legends feature on Saturday July 16th, getting entangled in a first lap multi-car Turn 4 crash that saw one car get upside down and her No. 11 resting under another.
On the next restart, however, Hans pushed into the top spot and stayed there, finishing off a sweep for the night that also included a heat race win.
“Not much happened to the car (in the accident),” she said. “Actually, I was very surprised that the car didn’t change much at all. It was on rails tonight. I feel bad because there some good drivers taken out in the crash.”
Hans beat Casey Martin to the finish line by 1.628 seconds. Craig Mahoney was third, followed by Chris King and Ryan Moore.
Andrea thanks all those who support her including family, friends, fans, Fort Wayne Clutch, and countless others.
