On October 28, Junior Classical League, Latin Club, oh Homestead High School volunteered at the Wild Zoo Halloween event. Dressed in togas and laurel wreaths in 34 degree weather, the students were eager for the day to come. From handing out candy to giving makeovers, members enjoyed the animistic children and their smiles.
Recieving sweets like FunDip, Laffy Taffy, Nerds, tattoos, and more, children stopped at numerous stations. JCL members handed out the treats after playing a game of some sort.
For instance, at one station, a member would say, "Reach inside the treasure chest, and see what you pull out. Be careful, though- you never know what could be hiding." The children would reach inside and luckily, pulled out sugary sweets.
Another station allowed trick-or-treaters to get a strip of colored hair-spray and a tattoo right after.
Members could not stop smiling the whole day due to the energetic and ecstatic children.
