The American Heart Association has long said that walking is good for your heart. Now buying a new vehicle can also benefit the heart health of Fort Wayne area residents.
Glenbrook Dodge Chrysler Jeep & Fiat is one of several car dealerships that are partnering with the American Heart Association in Fort Wayne for the Driving Our Community To Healthier Hearts campaign over the next several months. The campaign will raise thousands of dollars to help fund for lifesaving research and educational programs for the American Heart Association.
Glenbrook Dodge made a $10 donation to the American Heart Association for every car it sold in in April and May. The dealership also provided customers with material from the American Heart Association that explains the risk for stroke, how to recognize the signs of a stroke, and how to lower your risk for this disease.
“Stroke is the fourth leading cause of death in the United States and the leading cause of disability,” said Matt McKibben, General Manager of Glenbrook Dodge Chrysler Jeep & Fiat. “Because it impacts so many people in our community, Glenbrook Dodge wants to do its part to fight this disease and help everyone lower their risk for having a stroke.”
