This adult Bald Eagle grabbed a squirrel from a power line over Minnich Rd. near Moeller Rd. in New Haven on March 11, 2008 at 3:30 p.m. The bird dropped the squirrel in the road and tried to retrieve his prey. Heavy traffic and a pair of heckling Crows kept him from the "easy" lunch and gave me time to get a couple quick photos on my drive home from work.
