This group of future teachers from the Anthis Careers in Early Education program attended the Indiana Association for Education of Young Children (IAEYC) state conference on April 25th. The group of 39 high school juniors and seniors attended the professional conference along with 3,500 education profesionals from Indiana and other states. There were 200+ workshops offered over a variety of topics that are important to teachers. Special needs, Guidance and Discipline, Math, Language, and Science workshops provided students with great information on best practices. We have attende this event for the last four years and it is always a highlight of our year.
