I was gone to the store on Saturday May 24th and my husband calls me and asked "Wheres our camera there is a baby screech owl in the neighbors bush" ? I told him I was just right around the corner coming down the road and would get it for him. I got home and got the camera and we walked over to where he had said it was and sure enough it was still sitting right there in a bush by the alley and its momma watching every little move we made as we were reasurring her that we weren't going to hurt her baby(done thing she really understood us but we told her anyway). Our kids and the neighbor kids thought is was really neat. We told them it may never happen again because of them being nocturnal animals.

I had one of these sitting on my front sidewalk -in southern Wabash county- summer of 2007. It was dark and at first I thought it was a cat but when I got about 4' from it it flew into a tree.
