On Memorial Day my brother was over to trim a tree for us so that it wouldn't damage the house during storms. At 6pm last night, a more "natural" trim was done- a large branch fell onto my deck, pinning a power line between the branch and my deck. We were without electricity for approximatly 12 hours. It was more than enough time to think of all the little everyday things that we take for granted...such as the cup of coffee I'm enjoying at this moment.
