I found this outside of my home a few days ago. The bird resting in the nest was a smaller bird. It looked to be some kind of finch. I'm not sure what is up with the odd, speckled egg, but it makes for an interesting photo!

I had the same thing happen in my yard. The speckled egg is smaller than the robin's egg. Is it a cow bird egg?
