The Fort's "Cast Iron Chef's " fed almost a 100 volunteers during the 1812 Weekend on July 12th & 13th. Food prepared in early 1800's style was part of a demonstration provided to the public but the true reward was to the volunteers who enjoyed the labors of this fine group of ladies. Prepared over open fires and on a hearth in the Forts kitchen the civilians, Militia, and Troops of Old Fort Wayne were treated to Ham, Breads and Deserts ..Thank you to all who worked so hard in providing so many such wonderful food !!1
