Cecilia and Francesca Daizovi from Ossian just returned home from representing the USA at the World Baton Twirling Championships in Limerick, Ireland. In April they captured the Gold Medal at the US Trials to earn them a spot on the US Team. Out of 16 countries competing in the Junior Pairs category ranging from ages 12-16, the sisters ended up 4th in the World. They have been twirling as a Pair for less than a year and are only 14 and 12 years old. They also qualified at the US Nationals in August to represent the US at the International Cup in Sydney, Australia in 2009.
