Every year for the past decade, The Lukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) has had a Light the Night Walk as a fundraiser for the society. For the 2008 walk, the honored hero was my lovely niece, Allison Bear. She is 4 (5 on November 10th) and has been living with lukemia for a year. She will remain on treatment until December 2010, but we are all hopeful for remission and recovery! :)
