The DeKalb High School Baron Brigade appeared at the Bands of America competition for the first time this past Saturday in Yipsilanti, MI., which is a national competition.The band scored a 3rd place finish out of 20 bands during the day competition and the right to advance to the finals performance in the evening. Out of the 10 bands in the finals, the Baron Brigade placed 3rd overall. We are so proud of the kids and all their hard work. Now we move on to Regionals this Saturday in Chesteron, IN for a spot to move on to Semi-State next weekend. Good Luck to my daughter Alyssa Gibson and the rest of the kids.
