This year is no different than the last 4 years.
We enjoy decorating for Halloween because there is so much you can do. We have quite the reputation among our neighbors. So much so that they request our family to entertain(ie scare) at their hayrides and festivities.
We have a graveyard set up out front, some spooky charachters around every tree. We have a ghost crossing.We have an array of lighted characters, some blow up decorations and so much more. I did not include all of the shots of our decorations, there really is a lot. We have become the local entertainment, we constantly have people drive by at night slowly to see it all,cause that is when it looks the best. Pictures don't do it justice! We also like to join in on the towns safe trick or treat festivities.
We were featured front page on our local paper when we built the pyramid a few years ago, we have also made the front page for our house decorations 2 years ago. It is very exciting when others get excited so much that they want to call the paper and let everyone see what we do.
Every year we set up a haunted something. We have had a Vampire Lair, Egyptian pyramid that stood 24 foot high from the center of the point to the ground, and we have had an Insane asylum, and this year a Monster Maze. We do this for the kids as well as ourself, it is so nice to know that the kids have fun, get a little scare and walk away giggling and laughing. It is a great accomplishment.
We have had people tell us that they traveled from Fort Wayne and Ohio to visit, It has all been word of mouth. And it is all free. So if you get a chance drive on by our home in the country ask surely someone knows how to find us,or come on over for a little scare on October 30th for the Landers monster maze on Winchester Rd in Geneva, IN
