These photos were taken on Saturday, December 20 after an accumulation of 1/2 to 3/4 inches of freezing rain and ice the night before. The cold temperatures following the ice storm have still preserved the icy scenery as of Sunday, December 21. Our home was without power from Friday at 8:00 am until Saturday at 9:00 pm, but a generator and fireplace kept us warm and comfortable. We are very grateful to the AEP and other linesmen who battled the ice and cold to restore power. It is amazing how much the weight of ice can bend and break tree limbs and power lines.
