Fort Wayne Derby Girls Draw Record Crowd on February 14th
(February 18, 2009) On Saturday, February 14, the Fort Wayne Derby Girls hosted their 2nd bout of the 2009 season at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum and drew a record crowd for their organization. 1,400 fans came out to support the local non-profit sports organization and witness a double victory as Fort Wayne’s SWAT Team defeated No Coast’s Road Warriors 108 to 50 and Fort Wayne’s All Stars, the Bomb Squad, defeated No Coast’s Mad Maxxines 100 to 40. Both teams now boast a 2-0 record for 2009 and the Bomb Squad’s performance thus far this season promises to propel them up the national rankings.
Tickets are now on sale for all remaining bouts at the Coliseum.
