Monkeys have spring fever!

After a cold, long winter the animals and keepers at Black Pine Animal Park are celebrating the warmer temperatures. The rescued former "pet" monkeys were allowed out of their winter quarters this week for the first time since last fall. Black Pine has announced a pre-season "spring break" for visitors looking to treat their own "spring fever". As long as the weather brings temperatures of 55 degrees or higher with no rain, the sanctuary will open their gates on Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. for guests. Visitors can enjoy self-guided tours at a discounted admission price. Black Pine's summer season and general admission get underway in late May. For more information visit or call the sanctuary at 260-636-7383. Black Pine is a 501c3 non-profit exotic animal sanctuary located at 1426 W. 300 N. in Albion, Indiana.
