Mom taking off in Huntington

Huntington, IN. pair

My husband(Ross Andrews) and I (Vicky Andrews who took the picture) witnessed the eagle pair in Huntington, In on the wabash river on 3/25/09 changing of the guard. No more then 2 minutes passed when the female flew off the nest and dad landed back on the nest. Chitter chatter went on amongst them while both in the same tree at the change of guard. Like parents coming home from a hard day of work and telling about their day or giving instructions etc.
Female landed on a tree right above our heads when she took off from the nest.

Great pictures of the eagles. I just put up a picture today of an eagle that we saw in our back yard just outside New Haven.
