FORT WAYNE DERBY GIRLS WIN 3RD HOME BOUT

Press Release
Fort Wayne Derby Girls Shut Out Nashville

(March 30, 2009) On Saturday, March 28, the Fort Wayne Derby Girls hosted their 3rd bout of the 2009 season at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in front of another sell-out crowd. 1,100 fans came out to support the local non-profit sports organization and witness two nail-biting victories as Fort Wayne’s SWAT Team defeated Nashville’s Brawl Stars 64 to 59 and Fort Wayne’s All Stars, the Bomb Squad, defeated Nashville’s All Stars 77 to 73, both in the final jams. The two Fort Wayne teams now boast a 3-0 record for 2009, and the Bomb Squad’s performance thus far this season promises to secure them a spot at North Central Regionals in September.

Tickets are now on sale for the last home bout of the 2009 season at the Coliseum.
