We witnessed these amazing rainbows while spending time outside the afternoon of Sunday 5/17/2009. My family gathers every Sunday for my famous fried chicken dinner. Most everyone agreed that they had never witnessed a rainbow formed by the moisture in the clouds, even though it was not raining on the ground where we stood! This was such a blessing to see.

Great picture! This is actually called a circumhorizonal arc. More info is at wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Circumhorizontal_arc
