The Corunna Volunteer Fire Department be hosting a BBQ Chicken Dinner at the Fire Department on Friday June 19, 2009 from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm. The price for a dinner will be $5.00, which includes Chicken Leg and Thigh, Baked Beans, Pudding, Roll and a drink. The Chicken Leg and Thigh only will also be available for $3.00.
Following the dinner, members of the Fire Department will hold a presentation on fire safety and home escape plans. Members of the community are invited to learn of the differences between types of smoke detectors and the numerous causes of home fires, and ways to prevent them. Those in attendance will also learn how to create a home fire escape plan. The Albion Fire Department’s Fire Safety House will also be on-site.
The dinner and presentation will be held at the Corunna Volunteer Fire Station located at 1111 US 6.
