While riding our cycle in the Huntington area we came upon this very skinny baby raccoon along the road. We found an adult raccoon near by lying dead assuming it to be the mother. With the nearest woods about 1 1/2 miles away and the mother being dead we did not think the baby would survive so we put it in the trunk of the cycle and took it home to be and nursed it back to health. After about one week we took it to (Seventh Heaven), for abandoned animals in Pierceton, Indiana where it could be with others of its size and to be turned loose this fall.
