Sadie on Columbus Day 2008

Falling for a Valentine

Sadie was surrendered to Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control by a couple in Ohio. I was looking for a companion for Tinker, a lab I adopted almost a year earlier when I found her at the shelter. She was made from springs and hinges, full of wags and wiggles - the counterpoint to her introspective, thoughtful sister.

So she joined us on Valentine's Day, incubating a case of kennel cough that made realize how much she belonged to us, immediately. Eight months later, well on the mend, she is seen here, enjoying the fall weather and falling leaves.
