Harp was a gift from friends nearly 14 years ago. Fresh off of a farm near Garrett, she was only six weeks old when we were introduced to one another.
Now about her name.
Many years ago I spent a lot of time, sometimes too much time at the original Munchie on Broadway. Always drinking beer, lots of beer, really great micros and foreign brews.
One night while polishing off a black and tan, the barkeep asked what will you have next Michael?
I replied, "you choose for me".
She proceeded to open and set a bottle of Harp [a fine Irish ale] in front of me.
Eureka! I had the purr-fect name for my kitten.
Harp.
We celebrate her birthday on Thanksgiving Day with salmon, her favorite, with ham a close second. She also loves tortilla chips, it's the salt she loves to lick off.
She loves to cuddle with my fiance and I.
You can tell her moods easily, and when one of us is sick, Harp is right there curled up alongside us.

I love Harp.... I haven't been sleeping well lately and the other night I woke up and saw her face in mine! She takes care of me when I am stressed!! She always wants to be near me.

I was introduced to harp after meeting my best friends boyfriend. She has since became my best buddy. She is a sassy joy.
