A hummingbird had flown into our garage and got trapped, as they often do. My husband called me out there. The hummingbird was lying on the garage floor barely moving in shock. I immediately put on my garden gloves and carried the nearly lifeless hummingbird out to the feeder and tried to get it to drink. I held it up to the feeder for one hour. At one point I even spoon fed it sugar water, All of the other hummingbirds were swarming around me. The only one that frightened me was the male, he can be a little aggressive. I finally went in the house after an hour. The hummingbird was sitting on the perch by itself. I figured I had done all I could and it just needed to rest and regain it's strength. The next morning it was gone. It felt good to know that I had saved that little birds life.
