Indiana’s NewsCenter and YouNews™ put the word out: upload your best pet photos and videos during the month of July for a chance to win $100 in pet toys and treats! Entries ideally needed to fit into one of five categories: Cutest Pet, Ugliest Pet, Most Unique Pet, Best Pet Name, Best Pet Trick.

YouNews editors sifted through thousands of fabulous and creative submissions from over 60 affiliate stations nationwide, finally narrowing the selection down to a series of sugar glider photos on IndianasNewsCenter.com. As the winner in the “Most Unique Pet” category, submitter and pet owner Nicole Bustamante will receive a $100 PetSmart gift card.

Post Your Pet winning submissions were also selected from YouNews affiliate stations in Madison, WI (WKOW – Cutest Pet), North Bend, OR (KCBY – Best Pet Name), Fresno, CA (KSEE – Best Pet Trick), and Yakima, WI (KIMA – Ugliest Pet).

Visitors to IndianasNewsCenter.com are invited to upload content to YouNews at any time, where there are categories for news, sports, weather, events and pets/animals, as well as frequent contest opportunities. Videos and photos are reviewed by station staff and may be chosen for use during newscasts, promos or elsewhere on the air.
