Hello are name's are Alisha & Mike and we have a beautiful son who's name is Uriiyah. Uriiyah is the most wonderful thing that could of ever happened to us. He is such a joy to have around, even though he can through a HUGE temper tantrum some times, he is usually smiling, happy, and truly a great baby!!! I wouldn't trade him for the world!!!
We just found out a few weeks ago Uriiyah has a rare brain birth defect called "Bilateral Closed Lip Schizenchephaly", and you would never be able to tell by just looking at him because he is so handsom!!! Basically it is a cleft of his brain that didn't form all the way and it is causing him to have decrest muscle tone on his left side worse in his arm, hand, and back not so much his leg. So, he cannot sit up, crawl, hold his bottle, and use his right side like he would like. He is now going through Therapy and is showing improvement every single day!!! I know that one day he will be doing all the normal thing's any person can do it's just going to take him a little longer than others. I am staying strong for him (even though it is very hard not to break down) that way he can grow to become a very strong person who can over-come his disability!! To everyone out there who is going through hard times keep your hopes up and a possitive attitude and things will get better, but you cannot think down about things or you wont ever get any where.
Uriiyah's 1st Birthday is Oct. 16th. He is going to have a SPONGE BOB BIRTHDAY, because he absolutely love's Sponge Bob!!! I can't believe he is turning 1 already oh how time fly's!!
