Looking like oil and water, two major systems of clouds stretched from horizon to horizon over Fort Wayne, IN at around 2 p.m. Sunday, Ocotber 11th, 2009. This phenomenon stretched across the sky from horizon to horizon, seeming to trace the path of Dupont Road, the location where these images were captured. Headed westbound, my husband and I stopped just before Lima Road to document what we were seeing.
The first photo attempts to show the vastness of the cloud formation (by capturing trees and vehicles in the frame to give scale). The second image was taken holding the camera straight up from the passenger's window to show the striking line of separation and differences in cloud quality.
Breathtaking, we were able to enjoy this unusual (to us) display all the way to Columbia City.
