A Well hidden treasure in our community, seldom advertised, and sparsely attended free concerts showcase the talented young people of our community. The students are from the region's high schools, middle schools, and home schooled families. These musicians enjoy playing music at a more complicated level than their school orchestras, receive coaching from Fort Wayne Philharmonic musicians, and are lead by Bradley Thachuck, the Associate Conductor for the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, and guest conductor around the US and Canada. Some of the musicians are from Northrop, Bishop Dwenger, Warsaw, Lima Ohio, and Homestead. Some musicians play in the Youth Symphony, their high school marching band, jazz bands, and percussion ensembles in addition to their excellence in academics. Others travel great distances for lessons, professional opportunities, and study music at the college level. The audience was a proud representation of private music teachers, high school band directors, parents, and IPFW students. The musicians will be working on concerto ensembles and a holiday concert for the Christmas Tree lighting ceremonies downtown. Come join the traditions!
