On November 10,2009, the students at Harlan Elementary hosted a Veteran's Day program. It was open to all active service men and women as well as retired veterans. A special part of this years program included the landing of a Huey that was used during the Vietnam War. The students paid tribute to all branches of the military and remembered those who gave paid the ultimate price for our freedom.

My husband, Gary, was the co-pilot who flew the huey to this great community. He was overcome by the sincerity and gratitude of the students and was honored to be there. He thanks the teachers for allowing this generation to learn about Nam. Thanks
