I had to put my long time companion, friend and protector dog Orphan Annie down last year due to illness. She had been dumped and showed one day in our yard about 13 years ago, scrawny, pregnant, and she had been abused. Since she passed, I've really missed her being around and it's been so quiet at home. I took in this stray, Blue, in May when a co-worker said he showed up at her door. He was in poor health and spent several weeks back and forth to the Vet. He has been a blessing to my life... even when he acts more like a puppy by chewing on everything and being honery. I encourage you to adopt today. You will enrich your life and that of the adoptee. IF we all open our hearts to include others, especially those in need, we can together make this a better place to live for all.
