2009 U.S. Congressional Holiday Ornament

A Surprise Christmas Decoration

As I entered his Office I had no idea that I was about to be surprised with such an honor. I received quite a unique package from Bryon Lamm of Fort Wayne, Indiana as a Christmas gift. His secretary, Shelby McFann, handed me the gift and stated that they had been waiting with excitement to present it because they knew that it would mean a lot to me because of my community service work.

Upon receiving the box she asked me to open it in her presence as I would really like the gift. I looked at the box and was over whelmed as I read the words on the cover.

The words were in gold print and read: "The Official United States Congressional Holiday Ornament" followed by the official Seal Of The U.S; and the words "United States Capital."

I opened the box and a signed card was inside from Congressman Mike Pence of Indiana, and the Ornament.

Mr. Lamm had asked The Congressman to date and sign the card for me at a recent event in the area so that he could present it to me for Christmas.

It is such and honor to receive this gift from Mr. Lamm. It is a great honor to know that someone thinks enough of you to have such a prestegious honor bestowed upon you.

I have known Mr. Lamm for a long time, and have talked with him about Amateur Radio Military Appreciation Day, www.armad.net, my involvement with The U.S. Army Freedom Team Salute, Americans For Prosperity; and The Veterans Voice publication.

His secretary stated that it was because of my work with these organizations, and my dedication to our Troops that prompted their action

One never knows the extent of how each little aspect of our lives touches another person. I am committed to suporting our Troops, and Veterans. We must continue to reach out to others and to do good works in our communities.
